Continuing with this week's theme of Roman theatres on Google Maps today we bring you the Roman theatre of Segesta in Sicily, Italy. The town Segesta is perhaps better known for its outstanding Greek temple, which is said to be one of the best preserved Greek temples in the world.
The town of Segesta however also has a superb Roman theatre. The theatre itself is a little outside the town to the northwest. It sits on the top of a mountain and consequently has a beautiful panoramic view of the vista to the north.
