New Video Added to the Star Viewer

I've added a stunning video from NASA of the Carina Nebula to the Star Viewer map.

The video is a three-dimensional trip into a giant mountain of cool hydrogen and dust in the Carina Nebula, a vast star-forming region in our Milky Way Galaxy.

The nebula is too far away for the Hubble Space Telescope to see in true three dimensions. But this visualization creates foreground and background elements based on an approximation of how the region might be distributed in a 3-D volume. A virtual camera flies through this synthesized space to create a 3-D effect.

Video Map

I've started working at putting all the videos that I've featured on Virtual Tourism on one map. This is going to take a while as there are over 750 videos to add to the map.

Currently the Video Map shows 200 300 videos from around the world. feel free to explore the map but remember this is a work in progress and errors may appear whilst I work on the map.

Nesvizh Castle, Belarus

Nesvizh Castle or Niasvizh Castle is a residential castle of the Radziwill family in Nesvizh in Belarus.

The estate was owned by the Radziwill magnate family from 1533, when it was awarded to Mikoaj Radziwill and his brother Jan Radziwill after the extinction of the Kiszka family. Since the Radziwills were one of the most important and wealthy clans of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, it was there that the Lithuanian Archive was moved in 1551.

Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace is a large and monumental country house situated in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England. The palace, one of England's largest houses, was built between 1705 and circa 1724. UNESCO recognised the palace as a World Heritage Site in 1987.

Designed in the rare, and short-lived, English Baroque style, architectural appreciation of the palace is as divided today as it was in the 1720s. It is unique in its combined usage as a family home, mausoleum and national monument. The palace is also notable as the birthplace and ancestral home of Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill.
